Call for Volunteers for Spring & Summer

The summer's coming up and we have a few events lined up for which we need as many volunteers as we can get.

First off, I'd like to thank everyone who helped out at the Vaisakhi Parade this past Saturday. We had about 30 volunteers come out that day and our patrollers were greatly appreciated by the community. Thanks so much, hope you all had a fun time.

Our next big event is the 'KEEP VANCOUVER SPECTACULAR' Fraser Street Clean up, which will be taking place on May 5th. the Keep Vancouver Spectacular Campaign is a major campaign with a mandate to clean our local communities and to keep garbage off our streets. Last year this campaign was able to bring out over 12 000 volunteers who managed to collect over 90 metric tonnes of litter from 2600 blocks!!!!

This year our office will be organizing the clean up along Fraser Street between 41st-51st and we need as much help as we can get. Local businesses, residents, churches, and schools have been asked to come out and help and we will be providing refreshments for all of those who come out.
