Make a difference in your community...get involved with the SVCPC

Bike Patrol

Bike PatrolsThe SVCPC Bike Patrol Team hopes to continue to play a very positive and invaluable role within our community. Our trained members patrol the streets of South Vancouver, day and night, in search of stolen vehicles, abandoned autos, and suspicious activities.

Our patrollers also function as a deterrent to countless crimes. Our goal is to facilitate a safer, more harmonious community. Many new plans and ideas have been implemented over the past year, such as the use of the VPD Stolen Auto Recovery Program, which allows our patrollers to locate stolen vehicles with the touch of a button.

If you wish to become a part of our dynamic team, and have a couple of hours a week to spare, come and volunteer with us at the South Vancouver Community Policing Centre. You'll be glad you did! The SVCPC provides all of the necessary training and equipment free of charge. SVCPC Bike Patrol members are instructed by certified Canadian Cycling Association Can-Bike Instructors! Please see the Canadian Cycling Assocation's website for further information on the Can-Bike Program.
